Being a model is one of the greatest gifts which
only a few individuals possess. This is the major
reason why we have got a small percentage
of models in our towns. As a Model guide
magazine, we are very excited this month to feature
another talented and beautiful gem whose name is Marguerite de Villiers who managed to catapult her dreams into reality. She is a professional model who was mentored and groomed at ACE Models, Winelands. Recently, she was crowned as Miss Pre-Teen Universe South Africa Western Cape 2026.

Modelling is not just walking like a duck. A professional and seasonal model must have the ability to display skills, confidence, and excellence on the stage. This is a very critical technique that is expected from professional models so that they can be able to market their brand name very well.

One may ask, “ how is it possible that other students are able to balance their school work, doing charity work and modelling at the same time?” Well, the answer is simple as evidently exhibited by Marguerite de Villiers. She is a 13 – year – old who is doing grade 7 at Hugenote Primary School. The sky has no limit, everyone has the same capacity to excel into higher dimensions. The real question l can ask you is that, are you willing to pay the price for you to attain your goals?

If you could go back and tell yourself one thing before beginning your modelling career, what would it be?

Work hard and do not panic – everything will be alright.

What is your greatest lesson in your modelling career so far?

Modelling is all about people. You cannot be a model in your own world. You need people who can come to watch you on the stage, people who can support or sponsor your craftwork, people who can market your brand or speak on your behalf when you are not
around. I have learned to value men in my life regardless of their current status, age, or qualifications.

Do you think education is very important to models?

Definitely, yes! Education gives you knowledge, confidence, and choices for your future. I love
modelling, but I strongly believe that education should always be a priority.
