An emerging motivational speaker, innovative leader, public management student, 21- year- old young black girl brought up in Stanger, in the city of Durban, Thabile Mthethwa says that she did not plan on becoming a model. One of her favourite teachers encouraged her to be part of modelling competition. She bought the idea and she took a step of faith to give it a try. Unfortunately, she did not win at the first attempt because she was not fully eqquiped to know the rules of the game.

The good news is that she turned an event of failure into success by working hard and focus on her ultimate goals. She was also groomed and mentored by professional modelling trainers. The rest is history, she became unstoppable in her modelling and hard work pays off. This can be seen by the titles and awards she won as an outstanding model.

What is the difference between make up and natural beauty

As a model, there are occasion whereby we are suppose to apply make up for cover up unwanted scars, wrinkles, pimples and to get a tone of skin colour especially when you are having a photoshoot session , broadcasting interview or when you are going on stage. Naturally beauty does not only defined by the physical appearance. This is why we have got different finger prints on both of our hands. Your inner man reflect your beauty – how you conduct yourself or how you treat other people means a lot about you.

What are some of your beauty tips?

Water. I drink a ton of water. I do not go to bed wearing my makeup and l constantly apply sunscreen to protect my skin from excessive sunlight.

What do you want to be remembered for?

Empowering women to be big in all facets of their lives. I want all women to believe that they can be whatever they can desire to be.
