As Nigeria is preparing to host its annual pageant, Mr Universe Nigeria. We chichat with last year’s contestant
Frederick Eyamba who won,the Mr Universe Nigeria Best Body 2018 last year. In our conversation with Frederick he provides an insight of what Mr Universe Nigeria pageant is all about especially.
Also he gives us tips on how to keep our bodies healthy and sexy .
Q:Can you briefly tell us about Frederick Eyamba?
A:I am a 25year old model, athlete, actor and an entrepreneur.
I live in Accra, I believe in endless possibilities of the mind, hence I love knowledge and I love to explore.
I believe in only one race and that is the human race…
My dream is to become an iconic figure to the youths of Africa and to show them that everything is possible if you put your mind to it.

Q:Out of all careers why did you thought of taking modelling as your career?
A: I chose to become a model, because I love entertainment and I have always saw myself as a public figure.
Q:You are from Nigeria but based in Ghana.What are some of the difference between the two countries in the modelling industry?
A: Personally I don’t see much difference in the industry
especial when it come to the treatment given to models ; models are highly disrespected and I believe there is so much room for improvement.
Q:You won Mr Nigeria Universe Best Body.What was the atmosphere like for you when your name was announced as the winner of that category?
A:At that point I was surprised at the same time happy for I didn’t go there to win, I went to have some fun and discover myself.
Q:One might wonder how do you keep your body in shape?
A: I love to exercise alot… I always train because exercise is a healthy habit.🤴🏽
Q:Aside from the Mr Universe Nigeria which other fashion shows have you catwalked in ?
A: Mr universe Nigeria was a major pageant I competed for, but I have had the opportunity to rock the runway on some major fashion shows like:Global fashion week & Accra fashion week etc.
Q:Where can one trace your inspiration?
A: I am self motivated,… My mother,suffered to make sure I was comfortably and so I want to be the kind of man that she will be proud to call a son.
Q:Where do you see yourself in the next five years?
A:I see myself as a well established and successful brand in 5years.
Q:What words of wisdom do you have to those who are taking part in this year’s Mr Nigeria Universe?
A:My advise to this year’s contestants is ‘Know thyself’, believe in yourself and trust the process.
