During the month of August,Zimbabwe takes time to remember their Heroes hence the month of August is referred by many as the Heroes month.
As Model guide mag we take a look at one of the Heroine who changed the modelling industry of the country and that is the late Kiki Divaris.
She played a massive role in the modelling industry. She was born on the 13th of September in 1925,she grew up in Capetown.
She is the creator of Miss Zimbabwe Beauty Pageant.
Kiki was and still is an inspiration towards every girl child in the modelling industry.
She became the longest serving Patron for Miss Zimbabwe. For which a number of people wondered how a 88 year old is able to run such an institution in a professional way at a such age.
Some fashionistas described her ad a classy lady while others saw her as a Greek designer, model and a mother of the industry.
She died in her sleep on the 5th of December in 2015 at Borrowdale Clinic Trauma Centre in Harare,Zimbabwe.
She became the first white woman and someone from the modelling industry to be declared a liberation war hero in Zimbabwe.
