While , other girls were dressing dolls and boys playing with toys . She was constantly filling her mind with positive thoughts; seeing herself scooping many awards, travelling different places of the world and making positive impact on this earth. This belle had managed to catapult her dreams into reality. Indeed, she is a living testimony.

Sthabile Dladla is a 18 year Zulu speaking young girl who is a prolific advocate for mental health. She discovered that a large number of teenagers are suffering from depression, anxiety and trauma as well. As a result of this, it is affecting their school grades and some of the students will be having suicidal thoughts. She took upon herself to her to help such kind of youngsters who are going a lot in their lives.

To her, being a model model means to be an ambassador, a leader and a good role model. According to her own understanding, to be a model is way beyond just being on the lime lights and getting famous. It is all about making positive impact and making the earth a better place to live for others.

She obtained 25 titles in her modelling career. Currently, she is reigning as a Miss Teen World Tourism and Culture South Africa. Her role model and mentor is her biological mother because she is a grounded and straight forward person who always teaches her the principles of life. ” I could not reach this far, if my mother was not always there for me each an everyday of my life, ” she says.

Do you think that the word plus size model should be removed from the modelling industry?

Everyone is unique in his or her own way. This is why we have got different sizes of body shape, different heights and different skin colour. I think the phrase ” size plus sizes” denotes the uniqueness of an individual.

Her parting words were, ” The best advice l can give to those who look up to me is that they should be themselves, authentic and willing to put in the work, no shortcuts!”
