TOO BIG TO FAIL

Let’s meet a phenomenal, inspirational self – driven and ambitious superwoman who is breaking the norms and stereotypical mentality that has been established for so many years. It has been passed from one generation to another. Pheladi Portia Makopo is a 37 year old fresh woman, wife, mother of incredible 3 children, professional Clerk, motivational speaker, chef and model. Recently, she was crowned as a Queen of Miss Curvylicious SA.

I always tell people l am not in the modelling industry because l am the most gifted person, l am a beautiful lady, l have enough money to sponsor my career, l want to get famous and win many titles. My chief aim is to make a positive impact in my society. I have a story to tell to the world that can change someone’s life. It is time for plus size girls and women to stand up and shine without any element of fear to what other people will say about them.

She went on to explain that modelling is a reliable platform for an individual to use as a way  of reaching out to millions of people through charity work, campaigns or empowering others. Modelling is all about making a difference on this earth and changing lives of others. ” I am a young woman who is on a mission. The more l travel to different places, the more l spread my light and illuminate the minds of the people through knowledge,” she says.

What is your signature which differs from other people?

I really have a good sense of style, l quickly adapt easily and have a positive attitude towards everything. I am precise over small things too. I have good communication skills, the ability to always look good as a way to express non – verbal language and l carry my perfect smile everywhere l go around the world.

Last words

I strongly believe that it is impossible to defeat a being who does not give up too soon. I always encourage young girls and women who wish to be in my position that they should be patient in life. Simply because success is a journey, not a destination. Some of the dreams take time to
fully manifest into reality.
