Pretty Kashiri is a 27 year old Shona speaking girl who was born and bred in Waterfalls in the main capital city of Zimbabwe. Later on, she relocated to South Africa so that she can fully expand her modelling career into an international level.
“My first taste of modelling came at a earlier stage when l was doing grade 3. I was so young and l did not have a personal coach or mentor who can professionally train me. I only had a unquenchable passion. l remember very well that l could boldly walk infront of the classroom without any fear and do my cat walk. It was so hard for other students to understand my intentions because they thought that l was doing it for fun. As times goes on, they could visibly see tangible results that l obtained through my modelling career. They are so happy that l did not give up on my dreams.”, she was narrating her story.
Thankfully that she grew up in a modern world whereby you can easily access to any information through internet. This is what helped Pretty to take her modelling career into another level in her High school days. She was using YouTube as a learning tool and Facebook to push her brand name as well. After she completed her studies, she moved to South Africa for exposure. It was not an easy road to walk but her brand name is gradually becoming stronger and stronger. Recently, she was crowned as Miss Vick’s Cafe Ambassador and Miss Ambassador and Personality.

What l love about being a model is that modelling teaches you to be patient in life and you learn new things everyday and it encourages me to work harder everytime l have challenges.
What advice do you give to someone who want to be a model?
I would like to say that, in whatever that you believe in go for it and be ready for challenges. It is always good to go out of your comfort zone and give it your all. In this life, you can go as far as you want because the sky is limitless.
