Palesa Matjekane (35) from Bryanston, Johannesburg was crowned as Phangela Group Mrs. South Africa 2023 in November last year at the Theatre of Marcellus, Emperors Palace. Palesa is a wife, mother of two, and a businesswoman.

Hlengiwe Sabela (39) from Durban is the first runner-up with Léchar Knezovich (32] from Midrand the second runner-up.

The glamorous crowning event took place at the Theatre of Marcellus, Emperors Palace on 11 November 2022, with live judging taking place for the first time at the preliminary competition on 10 November 2022.

To the one to be crowned Mrs. South Africa 2024 Palesa Matjekane  said “To my successor, Mrs. South Africa 2024 welcome to the sisterhood, take the batten and continue to shine your light on our sisters not only in our country but globally. This crown that’s bestowed upon you is given to you because you have sole purpose for it. Mrs. South Africa team, my tribe, thank you for granting me the opportunity to be part of this platform for creating a home for me where I can fully be myself and push my goals and dreams to elevate this platform even further. I love you all”.

For over twelve years, under Johnson’s leadership, Mrs. South Africa has remained steadfast in its commitment to uplifting and celebrating women from all walks of life. The organization prides itself on being transparent, fair, and ethical in all its endeavors, and celebrating the immense strength and talent of South African women from all walks of life.

“When my name was announced on the 11th of November 2022 as the new Mrs. South Africa and my family present more so my children was one of the best day my life. For them watch their Mother come back for the 3rd and winning the title was exactly the message I wanted them to learn .You might not get what you want when you want it but in God’s timing when he feels you ready mentally, physically and spiritually you will attain it . I am firm believer of not giving up on your dreams no matter how big or small.” She said when we asked her how she felt when she won the pageant.

Besides modeling Palesa Matjekane is a women with many hats and a mother to many.
