A boudoir model is a seductive model and in a boudoir photo expect to be sexually arose. It is is a niche (small part) of portrait modeling and photography. Boudoir modeling consists of fashion, fine art, glamour, portraiture and erotic modeling/photography. So many things are said about this type of photography like its sexwork, done by immoral people so we caught up with two boudoir models and they had this to say
A model based in Bulawayo, Banokuthaba Ndlovu took a moment from her precious time to give us an insight on the boudoir photography. She said “It’s not sex work. It’s a different form of body art. But those who are of that opinion clearly had something or someone influencing them. Models in my line of work should do what they do in a distinguished manner. Your content should be tasteful and magazine or commercial worthy.it should never be mistake and for only fans. My content expresses professionalism”
Besides modeling Banokuthaba is a college student and make us artist. To other models she said “Be brave, bold, professional and tasteful. Have a clear goal as to why you doing this and where you want it to take you”
Banokuthaba Ndlovu always loved to swim. She fell in love with her dark skin and wanted other ladies to feel good in their own skin. She had interest in boudoir modeling itself after seeing other models in a skincare brand campaign
Nicole Rumbie Matongo aged 23 who stays in Greendale Harare juggles life in modeling, music and beauty had this to say
“I haven’t really tried complete boudoir but semi boudoir and lingerie shoots… I get bad comments sometimes but that won’t stop me from reaching where I wanna reach as a model… I simply ignore the bad ones for in this industry nomatter how good you try to be there will always be negative comment. My message to other models is don’t be ashamed to be who you are, achieve your dreams and let’s change the fashion world”
