Today we feature Mandisa Pretty Khuboni, a 26-year-old beauty queen currently living in Esikhawini, originally from Pietermaritzburg.
Mandisa describes winning her pageant as an unforgettable emotional moment. She says it was an outburst of joy, a moment filled with pride and excitement, as she looked forward to everything that was ahead after receiving the crown 👑
Speaking about her reign as Miss Icora FM,
Mandisa says the journey has been one of triumph — filled with excitement, growth, self-discovery, and challenges that she successfully overcame.
She explains that her reign has been fruitful, focused on empowering young women and raising standards within her community. Through the title, she has proudly represented her people, worked with industry leaders, and developed greater confidence, presence, and personal skills.
Mandisa also credits the Miss Icora FM platform for giving her valuable opportunities and support that helped shape her into a stronger queen
Beyond the crown, she has also made an impact through community service. She worked with the Green Chapter Foundation on their Grow a Tree project, visiting schools and parks to plant trees while teaching young people about environmental sustainability
She says this experience has been deeply fulfilling because it allowed her to give back while helping protect the planet.
In addition, Mandisa has conducted modelling classes for young aspiring models, encouraging them to build confidence and believe in their potential.
