From an early age, Kungawo showed a natural flair for modeling. At just 3 years old, she won the title of Miss Sunday School in her local church, Abundance Revival Church, under the guidance of Bishop Mbityi. This early recognition sparked her passion for the industry and set her on a path to success.

At the age of 4, Kungawo officially started her modeling career. She joined TMA (The Model Academy) under the mentorship of Trish Bosson, a renowned figure in the South African modeling industry. Under Bosson’s guidance, Kungawo’s beauty and confidence blossomed, making her an extremely sought-after talent.

Not content with just pursuing her own dreams, Kungawo also founded the Kungawo Mpini Foundation. Through this foundation, she aims to give back to her community by molding and inspiring young individuals in her area. Kungawo actively engages in charity work, visiting schools and church communities, and organizing events such as pageants, workshops, team-building activities, and gala dinners.

The Kungawo Mpini Foundation has gained recognition and support from sponsors, including Ziyabuya Shopping Centre. Their contributions have enabled Kungawo to expand her charitable efforts and make a positive impact on the lives of many.

She has achieved several notable titles, including Miss Tiny Port Elizabeth 2021, Miss Little Eastern Cape 2021, Junior Face of South Africa 2021, and Eastern Cape Ambassador 2021. Her achievements have also earned her the recent crown of South Africa Children Ambassador at a prestigious event held in Johannesburg.

Looking ahead, Kungawo has set her sights on even greater heights. She is a finalist for the International Junior South Africa 2023/2024 competition, which will take place in December next year. Additionally, she aspires to become the Tourism SA 2022 Queen of the World and the 2023 Queen of the Universe. Kungawo’s ambition and drive serve as an inspiration to young aspiring models across the country.

Despite her success, Kungawo remains grounded and grateful for the support of her single mother, who has been a pillar of strength in her life. Kungawo’s mother, a loving and devoted woman, instilled in her daughter a deep love for God and a commitment to living a purposeful life.
