Dabilo Debbie Moses: The Crown Favorite Ready for Miss Universe 2026

The stage is being set for one of the most anticipated reigns in Botswana’s pageantry history. After a breathtaking performance in the previous season, Dabilo Debbie Moses has emerged as the face of Miss Universe Botswana 2026.

Following a series of competitive national events, Debbie has solidified her position as the queen-to-watch, carrying the hopes of a nation that has been hungry for another international crown since Mpule Kwelagobe’s historic win in 1999.

A Proven Track Record of Excellence

Debbie Moses is no stranger to the spotlight. Her journey to the 2026 title is backed by an impressive resume of national and international achievements:

  • Miss Universe Botswana 2025 (1st Princess): Debbie narrowly missed the top spot in 2025, winning the Best in Swimwear award and captivating the audience with her poise. Her return for the 2026 cycle was met with immense public support.
  • Miss Supranational Botswana 2023: Debbie made history as the first-ever representative for Botswana at Miss Supranational in Poland, where she successfully broke into the Top 24.
  • Miss Independence Botswana 2022: A title that showcased her deep connection to Botswana’s cultural roots and national pride.

Beauty, Brains, and Broadcasting

What sets Debbie apart is her academic and professional background. A graduate of Limkokwing University of Creative Technology, she holds a degree in Broadcasting and Journalism.

Her media training is evident every time she speaks. While the high-pressure “Question and Answer” segments are often the downfall of many contestants, Debbie has used her platform to advocate for economic diversification and youth empowerment—key pillars of her 2026 campaign.

”I believe in making the crown, not letting the crown make me,” Debbie famously remarked during her transition from Supranational to the Universe stage.

The Road to the International Stage

As Miss Universe Botswana 2026, Debbie’s next stop is the global Miss Universe stage, expected to take place in Puerto Rico. Her preparation involves:

  • Advocacy: Continuing her “Thari” project, which focuses on community development and grounding young women in their heritage.
  • Tourism Ambassadorship: Working with the Botswana International Trade Centre (BITC) to promote Botswana’s diamonds and tourism.
  • Wardrobe & Walk: Collaborating with local designers to ensure Botswana’s fashion is represented with modern flair and traditional integrity.
