AFI (African Fashion International) Capetown which is one of the most attended fashion show in Africa.
Made a shocking announcement,this year as the world is fighting against the Covid 19 virus,which has spread across the globe.
With different governments announcing National Emergency while others creating National Shut Downs.
The AFI Capetown Fashion Week began on the 10th of March with the final day was the 14th.
Since the show began this year on the 10th,spectators were allowed to be in the auditorium as they watched,witnessed the creativity of designs that were presented by different designers.
Who exhibited their working the runway.


However a tough decision was made by the event organisers on the 14th of March .
As they released a press statement that,in line with the guidelines proposed by the W.H.O,Centres For Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Department of Health for AFI the organisers had to allow designers to exhibit their designs without the guests of the show.
However those who wished to watch the show,they were given an opportunity to do so,online.
Through social networks of the AFI.
In addition webtickets for that day’s event, were refunded.
