From the quiet community of Domboshava, Zimbabwe, emerges a young, determined, and ambitious teenager whose dreams stretch far beyond her surroundings. Meet Kelly Banket, an 18-year-old A-Level student at Kutama Day in Zvimba, born on the 11th of March 2008. With a heart full of passion and purpose, Kelly is steadily building her path toward becoming a recognized model and influential voice for change.
Growing up from a humble background has not made the journey easy. However, Kelly has never allowed challenges to silence her dreams. Since childhood, she has always aspired to be heard, published, and known — not only for beauty and fashion but for making a meaningful impact in society.
Her determination has already begun to bear fruit. Kelly earned recognition as a poetry winner under Daughters Destined For Purpose, where her creativity and voice stood out among many young people. Beyond poetry, she has passionately dedicated herself to activism against Gender-Based Violence (GBV), a cause close to her heart. Her efforts and advocacy were nationally recognized when she was featured in the NewsDay newspaper in both 2023 and 2025.
For Kelly, modeling is more than posing for cameras or walking runways. She believes that becoming a recognized model would provide her with a greater platform to amplify her voice and continue advocating against Gender-Based Violence. She sees modeling as a tool for empowerment, inspiration, and positive social change.
“I aspire to inspire,” she says confidently — a statement that perfectly captures her vision and determination.
