South Africa’s pageant industry continues to shine with young, vibrant talent — and among the brightest rising stars is Lwazikazi Sasayi, the newly crowned 1st Runner-Up at Miss Golden Heart South Africa. At just 15 years old, she is already capturing hearts across the country with her humility, determination, and genuine passion for uplifting others.
Born and raised in Scenery Park, East London, and currently in Grade 9 at Lumko High School, Lwazikazi represents the future of modeling and pageantry: confident, compassionate, and purpose-driven.
Reflecting on her achievement, Lwazikazi expressed deep appreciation for the honour of being named 1st Runner-Up.
“Being crowned as Miss Golden Heart South Africa first runner up, I am truly humbled and grateful. This is an incredible honour, and I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to be part of an amazing pageant.”

Like many great journeys, hers came with both highs and lows. But through teamwork and perseverance, she overcame every challenge.
“There were ups and downs where I was behind with two tasks and time was against me… but even though the deadline was close, I managed to make it up.”
A major turning point came when she collaborated with her sister, Queen Somangaye Mnxeba, who is also preparing for Miss Unleash Girls Power. Together, with the support of their parents, they completed their charity tasks just in time.

“I want to thank my mother and my family, the organizers, judges, and everyone who supported me. Your votes, messages, and kind words mean the world to me.”

“I want to extend my heartfelt message to the winner of teens, iLungile, and to all other contestants. You are all queens in your own right. I am grateful to have shared this experience with you. You will always be my sister queens.”

When asked where she sees herself in the coming years, her vision is clear:
“I see myself as a professional model, inspiring young girls who wish to be in the pageant industry.”
