Entrepreneurship has no age limit. It is all about passion, willingness, and the desire to have your own business. University students should take this matter very seriously, given the increasing number of unemployed graduates from both local and international universities. Many graduates end up working general jobs just to survive. Therefore, it is a call to all university students to start a business while still in school. This will make life much easier after graduation. Remember, you won’t be at university forever; there is life after graduation. Here are three advantages of starting your own business as a student:

1. Free Resources

We live in an information age where you can easily find anything you want on the internet. On campus, there is free Wi-Fi that you can use to scale up your business by advertising your products and services on social media or researching how other businesses perform in the marketplace.

Additionally, the school library contains a vast collection of books from different fields, providing young entrepreneurs with the knowledge to make wise business decisions.

Universities also have plenty of unoccupied space available for students to use. This space can serve as capital for starting a business, eliminating the need to worry about paying rent every month.

2. Cheap Advertising Costs

Word of mouth, flyers, and posters are effective tools to advertise to other students and local communities, and they don’t cost much. Additionally, many students are willing to help advertise your business for free.

3. It Doubles Your Learning Experience

Successful business people know their business inside out. They understand what their competitors are doing, what their customers want and how to survive in their industry. Business experience is tangible and many lessons cannot be learned in a formal classroom. Running your own business while studying is like enrolling in another school. It is a double-edged sword of experience.
