It is early in the morning at a three – star family restaurant which is called Papachinos in Fourways, north of Johannesburg. Shortly after 10:30 AM, the bubbly and ambitious Nandathora appeared at the door. Dressed casually in a light blue brazer with a white long – sleeved top, wearing a black skin jean and putting on blue high heels. You could visibly see a back Sashi which was written with bold letters Miss Rampuru 1st princess 2023/24. What a delightful moment to meet a vibrant Namibian actor, hip hop dancer, model, motivational speaker, poet, artist and Secondary student who is based in Lephalale, in the city of Polokwane! The interview took two hours before we separated the ways.

Started from the bottom

Her modelling career began in the earliest days of her life when she was at the Primary School. She was shaped and grounded to be a better person. It was an essential investment which was deposited in her life at a younger age. This is why she is a well – rounded leader who is a role model to many young girls in her local community. ” If you are not passionate about what you are doing, do not waste your precious time and energy trying to force things to work. This is why l can be able to do something over and over again without getting tired or bored. It is all about passion and discipline towards my personal goals,” she says.

What is your driving force?

” I am obsessed with my dreams. I am not going to wait for 10 or 15 years to be great. All the dreams have to happen today, not tomorrow,” she smiled after saying this statement. It gives her zeal to work day and night without looking at the clock.

What advice would you like to someone who wants to be a model?

Be willing to pay the price, this is a ticket of success. Everyone sees the rewards and many crowns of what l have accomplished in my life, it looks so glamorous and easy. What they do not see are the hard toil and speed bumps that have been encountered along the way.

What message do you want to tell your family members, friends and fans?

There is a proverb which says that it takes an entire village to raise a single child. I am so grateful to each an everyone who has positively contributed something in my life. May God bless you for your kindness, love and gentleness.
