Pietermaritzburg, KZN – Sibapiwe Hadebe is a force to be reckoned with. At 39 years old, this IT Audit Manager has proven that age is just a number, especially when it comes to the world of fashion and pageantry.

Hailing from the rural village of Nxarhabe in the Eastern Cape, Sibapiwe’s journey to the Mrs. South Africa pageant has been anything but easy. After a successful 18-year career in the IT industry, she’s now stepping back into the spotlight, chasing her lifelong passion for modelling.

“Modelling has always been a part of my life since I was 3 years old,” Sibapiwe shares. “I had to press the ‘pause’ button due to life’s challenges, but now I’m ready to relive that dream and make an impact in my community.”

One of her goals as a Mrs. SA finalist is to reduce rejection rates at higher institutions by educating students on making the right subject choices. It’s a cause that’s close to her heart, and one she’s determined to champion.

But the road to the crown hasn’t been without its obstacles. Sibapiwe admits that finding the necessary sponsorship to cover the pageant’s expenses, such as travel and accommodation, has been her biggest challenge so far.

“I’m still seeking sponsors who can assist me financially to make this journey a success,” she says.

Despite the hurdles, Sibapiwe has found ways to balance her personal life, modelling commitments, and demanding job as an IT Audit Manager. Her secret? Discipline, planning, and a strong support system.

“I’m an early riser, and exercise is key for me. It helps me maintain my physical, mental, and emotional health,” she explains. “I’m also a planner, and I use my cell phone app to keep everything organized. And of course, I have an incredible support system in my husband, family, and friends.”

As Sibapiwe continues her journey to the Mrs. South Africa crown, she has a message for her fellow contestants: “I cherish every moment we’ve spent together, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to walk this path with all of you. Let’s grow stronger together, now and in the future.”

With her unwavering determination, remarkable resilience, and genuine passion for making a difference, Sibapiwe Hadebe is a true inspiration, proving that age is just a number when it comes to pursuing your dreams.
