Generally, music is viewed as a therapy or source of entertainment by many people but to musicians; they utilize music as a tool to deliver message to the world. Music is not only about playing of the instruments to produce melodious sound or the flowing of the rhymes. It is a combination of intertwined factors that can lead to produce an excellence output.
Leeroy Simabyu Shiri is an entrepreneur, a holder of Diploma in Theology studies, a co-founder of a Prophetic Ministry which is called The spring of living water, gospel artist, loving father and husband. Many people started to pay much attention to his music when dropped 3 hits songs which are called Nyaya Iripo, Bakatwa and Ndisunungure. The hit maker became so popular in his residual city ( Kwekwe) and throughout the country. It opened a huge door for him to be interviewed on one of the biggest radio broadcasting stations in Zimbabwe (ZBC Radio Zimbabwe – Nhepfenyuro Yevanhu).
The prolific song writer vividly explained that he started to pursue his musical career at a tender age where he found himself so attached into music through the influence of his biological father who was a choir master. He began to nurture his gift at the Sunday School choir. Everyday, he was honing his skills, stimulating his creativity pattern and the burning desire to sing did not quench since from that time. Now, he is enjoying the fruits of his labour. Without an element of doubt, hard work pays off indeed.
What do you want your fans to know about your music?
I am not ashamed to say these words with audacity that all my songs are inspired by Holy Spirit. The main purpose of my gift is to reachout to myraid of people by spreading the good news through music.
