As the names of the contestants of Mister Africa Continental are being released.
South African model ,Zwelethu Tekete is among the candidates who are in the quest to win the throne. However for Zwelethu if he wins the title it will be history made not only ,that he is going to be the first
Mister Continental but in a space of three year’s he we will be having three titles under his name .
In an exclusive interview Zwelethu, information model guide his previous title’s that he won and he also share some of his thought about the competition ,”Mister Africa Continental ”

TR:Congratulations on being coronated as Mister Africa South Africa?
ZT:Well I was coronated Mr Tshwane Regions,in October the 30th it was indeed a tough competition which had a lot of really tough models.
That I learned a lot from as I take every competition as a learning opportunity for me to know more about modelling and to have a wider understanding of what it means to be a model, it means a lot that that i got the opportunity to represent my Country South Africa in Ghana.
I hope we will have the support we need to go there and represent our state there.

TR:You have seen the pictures of other candidates, what do you think are your chances of winning the title ?
ZT:I have seen the pictures of other fellow candidates, even though modelling is not only about how handsome or how well physiqued you are.
Its all about what kind of a model you are on and off stage, I’ve seen a lot of models whom people thought they were good looking than others lose, its not going to be an easy competition for all of the candidates.

TR:The Africa’s male modelling industry is growing with the hype competition in the world, what is your take of Africa’s male modelling industry ?
ZT:The Africa’s male modelling industry is growing even though I think we are not well recognized in terms of funds but the industry is growing and I feel very proud to have been given an opportunity to contest and be part of a growing movement like this ‘One’.

TR:Besides the title Mister Africa Continental SA,you are also the reigning Mister Tshwane .what are the duties of that title ?
ZT:As Mr Tshwane Regions my duties are, to give back to the community in every way we can however we haven’t really done anything due to the pandemic, hopefully next month we will be able to work and do what we are supposed to do.

TR:You are a Pageant model you re also into fitness modelling how do you collabo the two categories ?
ZT:They both require me to be well physiqued so its easy to collabo the two, its more like beating two birds with one stone,.
I’m saying it’s easy because they challenge me to go an extra mile ,in challenging myself, I love challenges.

TR:What do you love about your modelling journey?
ZT:As I said, I love challenges.
Modelling has taught me a lot about myself; people;fashion and mostly about respect .
Modelling keeps me out of many things like drugs and other junkful lifestyle and keeps me very focused on everything I do in and outside the Industry .
It might be in my studies or life in general I love modelling like I love myself because modelling allows you to think outside the box and to mingle with people(modelers) with variety of thoughts and to learn from them I love that modelling allows me to be me (the true me)and to have a word on affairs, that are happening across our globe.
Despite it being indirectly but through modelling our voices are heard.

TR:What word of advise do you want to give to your fans and fellow South Africans ?
ZT: I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for the support you have shown me and please continue to support me because your love its what keeps me going and to South Africans we are all Africans from Cape to Cairo hence , let’s treat each other with love and respect regardless of our complexion or where we are from because we are all Africans let’s treat each other with love because we are One.
