On the 30th of October it became the last day,for those who would like to take part in the 2020 Zimbabwe Models Awards as nominees to send their nominations.
The window for the organisers to receive nominations was opened in the month of September .
In an interview with one of the organisers,Mercy Mushaninga she stated out that they (the organisers) were accepting every nomination that was being sent by the public also she urged models to create proper portifolios that show,where they started and what they have done.
A number of models that had sent their nominations,they didn’t sent correct portifolios .
However the nominees were not uploaded at the official,page of the Zimbabwe Models Awards .
As verfication was needed to be made by the judges.
Mercy further informed,that judges are yet to meet the nominated models in Harare and Bulawayo and for those are are outside the borders of the country .
Zoom will be used to interview the candidates on why they, should be awarded the gong .
The judges are expected to select at least 3 nominees from each category which is a new development for the ZMAs .
As in the past some categories would contain at least more than four or five nominees .
Mercy also added that,included in the awards are children’s awards.
She however said the awards for children have been in existing however, the auditorium that was being used in the past never permitted young children to be inside the venue .
This year the organisers are going to select a suitable venue for all.
The event is excepted to have few audiance due to the, Covid 19 regulations set by the government .
The main event of the awards is scheduled to take part on the 19th of December while voting platform was opened from the 1st of November
