Rish Verma aka Rishban Verma is the former Mr Zimbabwe, he won the title in 2017. It was when he won the people’s choice award, during Zimbabwe Models awards. That same year he won: Best Fashion (male), Best International model and People’s choice model of they (which he won by more than 3000 votes). Since the day he won the awards, Rish has embarked on another journey in his life which is acting. He however dismissed the rumour, that he has left modelling industry and jumped in another ship in becoming a full time actor. Currently, former Mr Zimbabwe is going to be featuring in a South African lm, titled ‘Rapid Contact’. The lm has mixed with Zimbabwean production. Rish plays the character of the ‘White Brothers’. “My role in the lm is one of the main characters, called white brothers. We (white brothers) are in charge of the dream world, after people fall asleep,” he narrated. Rishabn Verma’s journey in the modelling industry began after Van AJ Klaus, director of movies recognised his talent via social media. “I noticed that I was capable of doing movies when Director Van AJ Klaus saw me on social media and billboards. He gave me a shot to do Tidal Drift and so I found that this industry has made me grow and become a inuencer. He has featured in a number of lms such as Tidal drifts, the Ethereal and Citadel,” said Rish.
Former Mr Zimbabwe stated out that for one to be successful in the industry, he or she needs to be humble and to be dedicated in their work. In ‘Rapid’, Rish will be casting along award winning Zimbabwean model, Don.
