Accompained by his loved ones,family ,friends and the media at Victoria Falls Airport as he is on his way to contest for the throne Mister Africa International.
King Future Nyoni left Zimbabwe to Sierra Leone where he is expected to battle out with at least 20 models from Africa for the title,Mister Africa International .
Nyoni has became prominent across Africa and during the preliminaries of the competition because of his slogan #togetherwecan.
King Nyoni is the among the only two Southern African countries who are contesting for the title with majority of the countries being represented are from the western and east region on Africa.
The multi-award winning model is not a newbie in the competition as he has previously contested and was honoured as the runner up.
The competition was held virtual.
In an interview with him on the 11th of December during his departure to Sierra Leone. King Nyoni showed excitement and earner to represent the country.
He described his participation as a great opportunity for him to share the picture to the continent about Zimbabwe as well as the vision behind his slogan #togetherwecan .
In addition King Nyoni, said he is not only carrying Zimbabwe’s flag in his shoulder but Southern Africa’s flag as he is among the only two models from the region who are partaking at the event.
“It’s a great opportunity tasked to me to represent my country but I consider it as an honour and blessing to be one of two African models who are not only representing their countries but the Southern African bloc.
“It’s also an opportunity to showcase our culture,heritage and pride as well as unity within our bloc as Southern Africa and as the continent that results to be our strength, “said Nyoni.
He added,that he was grateful to God and those who stood by him,since he took his first steps of his journey to Mister AfricaInternational.
“A man is not an island,with that I appreciate those who have and are rallying behind the vision,#togetherwecan.
“I am grateful to all sponsors who are supporting me financial,through votes,designers and those who are motivating me daily by giving me words of advise,”said Nyoni.
Nyoni who is advocating for education for all particularly in war refugee camps such as in DRC where he is campaigning for donations for the PAWA foundstion for the construction temporary classroom blocks.
And in other refugee camps in Sudan,Malawi and Uganda.
Told that his main goal is to tell his advocacy story to the world during the competition and hopes the organisers of the event will appreciate what his presenting in the table.
“The main goal for every delegate who is attending The event is to contest and win the title and walk away as the King. This is my objective also this is because the title comes with beneficiaries that I believe if I win will be distributed equally.
“Am eyeing to use the platform to present my project to the continent.And I believe it will will accepted as it involves everyone across the continent and beyond,”said King Future.
Among the designers that Nyoni will be wearing during the pageant include:YET,Tocar,Push Project,Afro Phonix,George Takora Designs,St Ignatius, Chardesignz, Hillary Haym,Nolie B and South African designer Finch Designs.
Nyoni is set to arrive in Sierra on the 13th of November.
