From an early age, she showed a natural flair of
modelling. Her craftwork speaks for itself that she was destined to be a model. At the age of 11, she was already on the runway and collecting plenty of awards from the competition. What an incredible individual! This early childhood awareness made our superstar model to take her career very seriously, and it set her on a path to success.
As a model guide magazine, we are super excited to feature a vibrant, self – driven, and ambitious girl who was brought up in a beautiful city of George, Western Cape. Allow me to introduce you to a remarkable individual who is making waves in the modelling industry, a world shaker and earth mover. Meet Christilene Mouton is a 16 year old girl who is a gifted dancer and motivational speaker. Currently, she is reigning as Miss Teen International Western Cape.
What is the benefit of being a model?
Modelling is not about winning, getting crowns, and becoming famous. Modelling is all about grooming and transforming models to be effective leaders, faithful citizens, philanthropists, problem solvers, and self – discovery.
What challenges did you face on your journey to the top?
Success is not a matter of luck. It is an ability to manage challenges and resources like time. To be a student and be a model at the same time is not as easy as many people think of. I had to develop a robust routine to balance my school work and modelling career.
What kind of advice would you like to tell upcoming models?
Success is a rocky road, but it is achievable. Keep showing up each an everyday with a fresh mind and
zeal. Keep moving forward. Do not accommodate any arrival-mentality thoughts in your head, there are vast
opportunities that are waiting for you on top.
Last words
I strongly believe it is impossible to defeat an individual who does not give up too soon. I always encourage girls who wish to be in my position that they should be patient in life. Simply because success is a journey, not a destination. Some of the dreams take time to fully manifest into reality.
