The City of Kings and Queens is well known for it’s richness in the Tourism industry.
On our visit to the city,we caught up with the Queen of the city’s Tourism,Miss Tourism Bulawayo,Natasha Gora.Who briefed us about the city of Bulawayo’s Tourism sector.
Also Queen Natasha,told us about his journey in the modelling sector.

TR:Miss Bulawayo Tourism thank you for the opportunity to interview with you? NG:Thank you and welcome,to the Royal City of Kings and Queens.

TR:What makes Bulawayo’s Tourism Industry unique? NG:The first thing that makes Bulawayo’s Tourism industry unique is that we are multi racial, we have the biggest Natural History Museum in Southern Africa and we surrounded by beautiful landscape for example the Matobo Hills.

TR:Wow indeed,your city is Rich in tourism .


TR:The City was part of the national lockdown and the industry was affected,what measures do you think can be done to improve the city’s Tourism ?
NG:At the moment the only way,we can keep people (tourist) who are interested in wanting to visit our beautiful city is by showcasing our Tourist attractions through all social media platforms.
But most importantly by following, the lockdown rules so the Corona cases (Covid19),may disappear and we can be able to move around and welcome people again.


TR:In your terms can you share with us some of your,projects that you conducted?
NG:In terms of projects I am working with Ishmael Murangandi, Tatenda Njanike and Martin Uladi in running Mr Teen Zimbabwe competition.
Most of the time I work with Ishmael Murangandi in donating food and clothing to those who need them,in addition I run a program with close friends and school mates in the fight against Gender Based Violence with the out reach program “Catch them Young”.

TR:When you were crowned as Miss Tourism Bulawayo,what came up to your mind?
NG:What came into mind,first was joy and shock. I couldn’t believe it and at the same time I was happy.
I had mixed emotions, however at the same time I knew there was a huge task ahead of me that came with wearing the crown.


TR:Natasha besides being,Miss Tourism Byo you are also into photogenic modelling. Who are the designers and photographers you worked with ?
NG:When it comes to designers I’ve worked with CJ clothing, Empress Primmy designs, Sanz. Zw. These are some of the big brands in the city.
As for,Photographers SaDee Lensworks, Puzzlemoment and Lex Wavy.


TR:Which other Pageantry have you taken part in ?
NG:I’ve taken part in international pageantry,Miss Silk Road Global Tourism Gala were I was crowned Miss Most Potential Tourism of the world 2019 in China
Miss Cosmo World and I made it to top 8 in Malaysia.


TR:Whom do you look up to in the industry?
NG:In Zimbabwe,it’s Sarah Mpofu Sibanda who is my mentor and Tyra Banks


TR:Where do you see your future?
NG:In the future I see myself as one of the best Business woman in my city .
